Apprentices are employed full-time so they learn the skills needed for their work role right there on the job, all while getting paid an Apprentice wage. At the same time, you will be training towards recognised qualifications.
What qualifications will you gain from an Apprenticeship?
You usually gain a range of NVQ and Functional Skills qualifications. Apprenticeships at higher levels also often include an HNC or HND.

Oxfordshire Apprenticeships success
As an Apprentice in Oxfordshire, you could be following the successful footsteps of other ATG Apprentices like Fay Chicken. Fay says "I wanted to get involved in real work and more importantly learn some real life working skills that I could use in my job". Fay successfully completed an engineering apprenticeship working at Oxford University. She has since gone on to study an HNC & HND in Electrical/electronic and Mechanical Engineering and now works at CERN in Geneva, working in the radiation safety office.
