Electronics Engineer

Electronic Engineering job roles include PLC Programmers, Electronic Designers and Aerospace Engineers. As an Electronics Engineering Apprentice you will learn all the necessary skills required to create, test and fault-find on circuit boards safely, and develop basic design skills using CAD software.

The BTEC National enables you to learn about the principles of Engineering, Health & Safety, develop core Maths skills and gain an understanding of the properties of different Engineering materials, as well as knowledge specifically related to Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

In the second year of your Apprenticeship you will combine your knowledge and skills to produce an Engineering Project, based on a real service or product supplied by your employer, suggesting how it could be more cost/time effective. This application of your learning in the real working environment very effectively demonstrates the progress that you have made.
